OFF YEAR

On October 16th, 2023 Nimmo was in a life changing car accident. She was hit by another driver, suffering many injuries. Due to this Nimmo had to undergo many surgeries and attend doctors appointments regularly. Due to this Nimmo could not attend school or play basketball. Nimmo was told playing again in the future was not idea. After several months of therapy and recovery plans Nimmo was determined to find a way to play again even with limitations due to the car accident. Late June of 2024 Nimmo was finally cleared and reached out to Coach Marvin off Harford Community College to try and play again as she could not accept never playing again. When Nimmo first started she could barely dribble with her left hand or even shot a left handed layup. The next few months were very hard for Nimmo to return to playing but with great support she pushed through and began beating all odds. Nimmo still has some limitations with her left hand as her 2nd through 5th metacarpals are all plates and screws so her hand does not have proper range of motion but she does not stop this from doing that she loves.
